The UK’s cheapest supermarket has reduced prices by up to 10% across a range of items including BBQ essentials, such as Marinated Pork Loin Steaks (now £2.99), Spare Ribs (now £4.49), and Large Prawns (now £2.70).

Wines such as the Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon (now £4.19) and Specially Selected Prosecco Treviso (now £6.99) are included in the latest price reductions.

And shoppers can also pick up the supermarket’s latest Super 6 deals which this week will include 200g Nature’s Pick Cherries for 99p, 500g Mini Easy Peelers for 69p, Red Peppers for 39p each, 500g Specially Selected Jersey Royal Potatoes for 99p, Nature’s Pick Beef Tomatoes for 39p each, and 240g Radishes for 39p.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “Just in time for Father’s Day, we’re slashing prices on a range of items that will be a perfect addition to any family gatherings this weekend.

“Customers know the only place you get Aldi prices is at Aldi, and we’re more committed than ever to remaining the UK’s cheapest supermarket.”

Consumer group Which? named Aldi as the UK’s cheapest supermarket in May – making it undefeated in the monthly rankings so far this year.

On a basket of goods, Aldi was a huge £36.57 cheaper than the most expensive supermarket, Waitrose, and on average, the traditional Big Four supermarkets cost 16% more.
