Cut your grocery bill by shopping around
Whenever you’re pushing the trolley round the supermarket, you can’t not notice how everything’s more expensive than it was last time.

So if you usually do your weekly shop at the same place, it might be worth seeing if you could get a better deal somewhere else.
Consumer group Which? compared the prices of 95 grocery items at eight major supermarkets, including both branded and non-branded items, to find out which supermarket offered the lowest prices.
Aldi was found to be the cheapest overall, with the shopping basket costing just £123.60.
Lidl came next in the list, with the shopping costing £170.58 with Lidl Plus and £170.66 without it.
They were followed by:
- Asda - £192.58
- Tesco (including Clubcard) - £196.88
- Morrisons - £197.50
- Sainsbury's (including Nectar) - £198.79
- Tesco - £202.27
- Sainsbury's - £206.18
- Ocado - £217.86
- Waitrose - £235.49
Shop around to save money
Seeing your grocery bill shoot up week after week can be really frustrating, as there’s nothing we can really do about price rises.
