Deadline for British Gas Individual and Families Fund tomorrow

The British Gas Individual and Families Fund is closing tomorrow, Friday March 8th at 4pm, after it was set up in 2021 to help households struggling with energy debt.

Previously, energy customers could receive up to £1,500 in aid from the fund. but this amount recently increased to £2000 due to the ongoing struggle many people face with living costs, and energy bills.

  • The energy account must be in the name of the applicant
  • You live in England, Scotland, or Wales
  • You’ve not received a grant from the British Gas Energy Trust within the last two years
  • You’ve already received help from a money advice agency
  • You’re in or facing fuel poverty

Apply here.

Not eligible?

If you're not eligible but need help with your energy bills, some other suppliers offer grants .

If your supplier isn't listed here, you should still contact them to try to come to an arrangement to pay off your debt.
