Want to try something new but feel you can’t afford it?
It’s easy to feel stuck in a rut and that you’re living on repeat, but money worries are holding many people back from trying something new.

In fact, new figures from TopCashback show that nearly a quarter of Brits (24%) can’t even remember the last time they stepped out of their comfort zone.
For many, it will simply be the drudgery of daily life getting in the way and just not getting around to something.
But for almost half (43%), it’s money that stops them trying something they’ve always fancied doing.
And that has a knock-on effect.
For example, nearly two-thirds (64%) feel they're repeatedly living the same week, and a similar number (68%) worry that life is passing them by too fast.
What new activity do you want to try?
While the figures might look gloomy, almost a third (31%) say they plan to try something new this summer.
Going somewhere new
Unsurprisingly, visiting a country or city they’ve never been to before is the most popular ambition.
Almost two-fifths (37%) say they’d like to visit a new destination this summer.

Getting fit
More than one in five (21%) want to try a new fitness activity over the summer, but you can do that without an expensive gym membership.
Going for a walk is free, easy and improves the mood, heart health and clarity, and going for a run or riding a bike can feel revitalising too.
Alternatively, you could join a free online exercise class, as YouTube is full of sessions covering everything from yoga to dance cardio.

Solo travel
One in five (20%) fancy taking a solo trip this summer.
That doesn’t have to mean travelling a long way or spending a fortune.
Just enjoying a night or two in a nearby town or city gives you a chance to explore somewhere different and enjoy things at your own pace
Set a budget for experiences
Nearly two-thirds (64%) of Brits say spending on experiences will be a priority this summer, despite financial pressures.
So it’s worth making sure you’re on top of your finances, so you don’t run the risk of paying more than you can afford.
When you think of budgeting, you might just think of making sure you’ve got enough money to pay your bills.
But it also means knowing how much you can spend on treats and non-essentials, without putting yourself at financial risk.
Having this certainty can help you really enjoy what you've paid for, without worrying afterwards about how to make ends meet and cover essential costs.
