And the good news is that you don’t necessarily have to spend a fortune to celebrate.

From free meals and pizzas to complimentary desserts and drinks, restaurants and businesses across the UK are offering special results day deals for students.

Many of the offers also apply to GCSE results day on Thursday 20 August, so there are freebies available for GCSE students too.

Here’s where you can grab a bargain, or even something completely free.

Almond Family Pubs – free main meal

If you’re in Stockport, Almond Family Pubs are offering students receiving their A-Level or GCSE results a free main meal.

You can claim your free main course at any of Almond’s five Stockport pubs:

You’ll need to purchase one full-price main meal. To claim, simply show your results to a member of staff when ordering.

Banana Tree – free starters and desserts

Banana Tree is also joining in the results day celebrations with a deal on free starters and desserts.

Students can enjoy the offer when dining at participating restaurants, giving you the chance to make your post-results meal a little more special.

Check the restaurant’s terms and conditions before heading out, as restrictions may apply.

Bella Italia – free starter and dessert

Fancy some Italian food after collecting your results?

At participating Bella Italia restaurants, students who purchase an adult main meal and show their exam results can get a free starter and dessert.

And there’s good news if your family or friends are joining you, guests can also qualify for the offer, as long as they purchase a main meal.

It’s available for both A-Level and GCSE results day celebrations.

Bill’s – free dessert

Whatever your results say, there’s always room for dessert.

Bill’s is offering students a free dessert when they show their GCSE or A-Level results, with a main meal purchase required.

Bird & Blend Tea Co is offering students a free Iced Superstar Matcha on A-Level results day.

Simply show your results slip at the till at one of its UK stores to claim your free drink. There’s no minimum spend.

And it’s not just students who can get involved. Teachers can also claim a free drink by showing a valid school staff ID or TRN.

The promotion applies to A-level and GCSE results day.

And, like some of the other offers, your guests can also qualify, they simply need to purchase an adult main meal.

You’ll need to show your exam results when claiming the offer, and you’ll need to sign up for the relevant voucher beforehand.

Nando’s – free chicken or starter

Nando’s is bringing back its annual Results Day Dash.

If you’re collecting your A-Level results, you can get a free 1/4 chicken or starter when you spend £7 or more and show your student ID and results slip.

The offer is available for both eat-in and walk-in collection, so it’s an easy option if you’re looking for something quick after picking up your results.

PizzaExpress – bottomless pizza for £12.50

If you’re feeling particularly hungry after your exams, PizzaExpress has a results day deal worth knowing about.

You can get bottomless pizza and dough balls for £12.50 per person, available from opening until 5pm when dining in and showing your exam results.

There’s also an alternative offer of a free portion of dough balls with a main meal when you present a valid UNiDAYS code and your results letter.

Rosa’s Thai – free Pad Thai

One of the tastiest offers could be at Rosa’s Thai, which is giving away thousands of free Pad Thai dishes for A-level and GCSE results day.

More than 100 free Pad Thai dishes are available at each of its 42 restaurants across England and Wales, although you’ll need to purchase one of Rosa’s Thai’s bubble teas.

If you’re hoping for a free pizza, you’ll want to get to Zizzi early.

The first 30 students through the doors at each participating restaurant can claim a free classic pizza by showing their 2026 exam results and purchasing a soft drink.

There are more than 3,700 free classic pizzas available across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

And if the free pizzas have already been claimed, there’s still a deal to take advantage of. Students can get 50% off a classic pizza until 5pm when they purchase a soft drink.

What you need to claim your results day freebies

Before you head out to celebrate, make sure you’ve got the right things with you.

Bring your results slip

Many of these offers require you to prove that you’ve received your results that day.

It’s also worth taking your student ID, if you have one, as some offers require it. And if an offer has an age requirement, you may need proof of age too.

Without the right proof, you could be refused the offer,  even if you have received your results.

Book ahead if you’re celebrating with family and friends

Results day can be extremely busy, particularly around lunchtime and in the evening.

If you’re planning to celebrate with your family or a group of friends, it’s a good idea to book a table in advance where possible.

This is particularly important if you’re relying on an offer at a specific restaurant, as you don’t want to arrive only to find there’s no availability.

Always check the terms and conditions

Before setting off, check the latest terms and conditions for the offer you want to use.

Some deals are only available at participating locations, while others have a minimum spend, limited quantities or specific time restrictions.

You may also need to sign up for a voucher, download an app or join a loyalty scheme before results day, so don’t leave it until you’re standing at the restaurant counter.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on your favourite restaurants’ social media accounts, as additional results day offers, or changes to existing ones, can be announced at short notice.

Enjoy, you deserve it.
