Deals of the week – little luxuries for less
A good deal can make your day. Whether you’re shopping for something practical, something pretty or even a last-minute holiday, here are a few offers worth checking out.
Published: 17 April 2025
Last-minute breaks at Butlins
Feeling spontaneous? A last-minute holiday to Butlins could be just what you need and might save you some money too.
Deals are available in Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness, whether you’re looking to go in the next few days or planning a short break in a couple of weeks.
Fun fact: Butlins was founded in 1936 by Billy Butlin, who wanted to make seaside holidays in Britain accessible to everyone. He created a ‘place of colour and happiness’ in Skegness, where families could enjoy quality time, entertainment and activities together - and that’s still the idea today.
Etsy clearance sale
If you love picking up something a bit quirky and unique, the Etsy clearance sale is worth a browse.
From upcycled furniture to vintage homeware and handmade pieces, there are bargains to be found from lots of independent sellers.
And here’s a nice fact: Etsy has around 54 million sellers, 86% of whom are women!
Star deals at Comet
On the hunt for a new appliance or something for the garden? Comet’s star deals are offering savings on everything from Russell Hobbs washing machines to George Foreman BBQs.
You might remember Comet from the high street, they were around for nearly 80 years before closing in 2012. Now they’re back online and offering the same kind of practical, good-value electrical and home appliance deals.
Running Bear sale
Calling all runners… if you’re in the market for new trainers, there’s up to 40% off selected styles at Running Bear, including top-name brands. But be quick, as popular sizes are selling out fast.
The business is run by Catriona, a keen runner herself with some very speedy race times (a 5k in just over 17 minutes). Needless to say, Catriona knows what makes a good pair of running shoes.
Up to 50% off jewellery at Beaverbrooks
Looking for something special, maybe for a gift or just to treat yourself? Beaverbrooks has up to 50% off selected jewellery, including Vivienne Westwood necklaces, Gucci pieces and their own beautiful rings.
The company has been around for over 100 years, starting in Belfast in 1919 when three brothers set out to sell fine jewellery and gifts.
Hopefully, this little round-up helps you save a bit of money and discover something new along the way.
Happy browsing!
