Free events across Great Britain on Bonfire Night 2025

As the mercury drops, our minds are turning to all things autumn. With Halloween and Bonfire Night in quick succession, and Christmas just around the corner, this can be a costly time of the year. So to help you keep your costs under control, we’ve pulled together a list of free Bonfire Night events up and down the country.

South East

• Rye Bonfire, East Sussex
  The Great Rye Fawkes Pageant is a traditional event, featuring a torchlit procession, bonfire (often with a boat burning) and fireworks.
  Date: Saturday, 15 November
  Cost: free entry
  
  
• Linfield, Haywards Heath
  Torchlight procession starting at 7.30pm, with the lighting of the bonfire taking place at 8.15pm.
  Date: Wednesday, 5 November
  Cost: free entry (suggested £2 donation for the programme)

London

• Coram’s Fields, Bloomsbury
  Free fireworks display, along with performances from local children and young people, funfair rides and food stalls. Performances begin at 4.10pm and the fireworks start at 6pm.
  Date: Wednesday, 5 November
  Cost: free entry
  
  
• Harrow Fireworks
  Featuring kids entertainment pre-show, full-size fun fair, food stalls, inflatable park (weather permitting), face painting, glitter tattoos, Indian henna hand art and a fully licensed bar and a musical fireworks display from about 7.45pm.
  Date: Saturday 8 November
  Cost: free entry 12pm – 3pm, after that, advance tickets from £8

South West

• Kingswood Silent Fireworks, Bristol 
  One for people who like a light show without the din at Kingswood Rugby Club. The bar will be open and so will the kitchen, selling burgers, hot dogs, chilli and nachos, soup and hot drinks. Plus DJ and cake stall.
  Date: Friday, 7 November
  Cost: free entry (donations welcome) on 7 November 2025. Donations welcome.
  
  
• Lyme Regis, Dorset
  Fireworks launched from The Cobb. Watch them light up the sky over the harbour.
  Date: Saturday, 1 November

• Plymouth Hoe
  A bonfire on the Hoe, with fairground rides, fireworks and a community atmosphere.
  Date: Wednesday, 5 November

Midlands

• Northampton’s Annual Fireworks Spectacular
  Live music, funfair, food stalls, face painting and fireworks at the racecourse.
  Date: Saturday, 1 November
  Cost: free entry
  
  
• Wootton Fireworks
  Fairground rides, food and drinks and a firework display at Wootton Community Centre.
  Date: Sunday, 2 November
  Cost: free entry
  
  
• Daventry Fireworks Spectacular
  The Parker E-ACT Academy on Ashby Road will host a firework display. Food and drink will be available to buy.
  Date: Saturday, 1 November

• Brackley Fireworks
  Live entertainment, food vendors, bars, community stalls, LED robots and the chance to get up close and personal with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS team’s replica W16 show car. To be held at Magdalen College School.

North East

• Barmoor Fireworks, Gateshead
  Funfair, fireworks, food, drinks and more.
  Date: Friday, 7 November

• Blyth Beach Annual Fireworks Display, Northumberland
  A spectacular fireworks display, plus funfair and food stalls. Gets underway at 4pm at Mermaid Car Park.
  Date: Saturday, 1 November

Yorkshire

• Harrogate Stray Bonfire and Fireworks
  Family-friendly entertainment, food stalls, bars and face painting.
  Date: Saturday, 8 November
  Cost: free entry
  
  
• Bonfire and Fireworks at Elvington Scout Hut, York
  Bar and BBQ, refreshments and treats. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm.
  Date: Friday, 7 November
  Cost: entry with large firework or donation to the Scout group
  

North West

• Bonfire Night at Dinting Cricket Club
  Fireworks, bonfire, sparklers, food stands and bar.
  Date: Saturday, 1 November

• The East Lancs Paper Mill Cricket Club
  Bonfire, fireworks, cocktails, food, hot drinks and a bar.

Scotland

• Forres Bonfire and Fireworks Display, Grant Park
  Bonfire and 20-minute firework spectacular that can be seen from all parts of the park and across the town.

• Barmouth Bonfire and Fireworks Display
  Large bonfire, DJ, samba band, treats and games for the kids and a spectacular firework display.

  Beefburgers, hotdogs, hot and cold drinks available, while you get warm by the bonfire and watch the fireworks.
