How to make the most of your Tesco Clubcard

Aren't Clubcards great? Since launching in 1995, Tesco's much-loved loyalty scheme has become a firm favourite with shoppers across the UK.

If you're one of the millions of people with a Clubcard, you'll probably know that you collect one point for every £1 you spend on qualifying Tesco shopping, both in-store and online.

But collecting points is just the beginning.

The real value comes from knowing how to make the most of your membership, take advantage of exclusive Clubcard prices and turn your points into even bigger savings.

Tesco says its thousands of Clubcard deals could help regular shoppers save up to £375 a year on their grocery shopping.

And there are plenty of other ways to collect points, even when you're not doing your weekly shop.

Here are some ways to get more from your Tesco Clubcard.

Charge your electric vehicle and collect Clubcard points

If you drive an electric vehicle, you could be earning Clubcard points every time you charge at a Be.EV charging station.

Tesco has partnered with Be.EV to let Clubcard members collect one point for every £1 spent on charging at more than 680 locations across the UK. That includes chargers at selected Tesco sites, as well as Be.EV locations elsewhere.

To get started, you'll need to link your Clubcard to your Be.EV account.

• open the Be.EV app

• sign in or create a Be.EV member account
• go to the account section and select ‘link Tesco Clubcard account’
• follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Clubcard

That's it! Once your accounts are linked, your points are collected automatically whenever you complete an eligible charging session. You don't need to do anything extra each time you plug in.

You can turn the points into Clubcard vouchers to save on your Tesco shopping or exchange them for rewards with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners.

It's a great way to make your everyday charging spend work harder for you.

Collect points when you fill up with fuel

You don't need to drive an electric car to earn Clubcard points on the road.

If you fill up at a Tesco petrol station or an Esso station with a Tesco Express, you can collect one Clubcard point for every two litres of fuel you buy.

And if you choose Tesco's Supreme+ fuel, you can collect double points.

So, whenever you fill up, remember to scan your Clubcard before you pay. Those fuel stops could soon add up to extra savings.

Earn points with your mobile phone

If you’re a Tesco Mobile customer you could be collecting Clubcard points every time you pay your mobile bill or top up your phone.

You earn one point for every £1 you spend on eligible Tesco Mobile pay-monthly bills or pay as you go top-ups.

To get started, link your Clubcard to your Tesco Mobile account. You can do this through the Tesco Mobile app or by texting CLUBCARD to 28578 from your Tesco Mobile phone.

Once linked, you can earn points on your eligible spending without having to think about it.

You can also exchange Clubcard vouchers to get money off your Tesco Mobile bill.

Send parcels with Evri and earn points

Here's another way to boost your Clubcard balance that you might not have thought of.

If you regularly send parcels, you can collect one Clubcard point for every £1 you spend when booking a delivery through evri.com.

Here's how:

• book your parcel delivery on evri.com
• enter your Tesco Clubcard number on the basket page
• select the 'collect points' button so Evri can verify your account with Tesco
• complete your purchase

Your points should be credited to your Clubcard account within 14 days of a successful purchase.

It's a great way to get a little extra back from something you might be paying for anyway.

Make your Clubcard vouchers worth twice as much

Now for one of the best ways to get more value from your Clubcard.

You don't have to spend your vouchers on your Tesco shopping. Through the Clubcard Reward Partners scheme, you can exchange them for rewards worth twice their face value.

That means:

• £5 in Clubcard vouchers becomes £10 to spend with eligible Reward Partners
• £10 in vouchers becomes £20
• £25 in vouchers becomes £50

There are more than 100 partners to choose from, covering everything from holidays and days out to restaurants, entertainment and travel.

For example, you could exchange your vouchers for credit towards an easyJet holidays package or use them towards airport parking with APH.

Check the latest offers before you exchange, as individual partners have their own terms and conditions.

Use your vouchers towards a Royal Caribbean cruise

If you fancy taking your Clubcard rewards a little further afield, you can use your vouchers towards an eligible Royal Caribbean cruise holiday.

You can browse eligible cruises, exchange your vouchers through Tesco Clubcard and use the resulting Reward Partner code towards the cost of your cruise.

There are some important conditions, including minimum booking values, minimum cruise durations and restrictions on what the vouchers can pay for. So check the full terms before making your booking.

Get even more points with a Tesco Bank Clubcard credit card

If you regularly shop at Tesco, you could collect additional Clubcard points by paying with a Tesco Bank Clubcard credit card.

As well as your standard Clubcard points, the credit card offers extra rewards on eligible spending.

At Tesco, for example, you can collect five points for every £4 you spend, compared with four points using a standard Clubcard alone.

One of the easiest ways to save with your Clubcard is to make sure you use it every time you shop.

Clubcard Prices give you access to exclusive discounts on thousands of products in Tesco stores and online.

You may also find special promotions and personalised offers through your Tesco account.
