Keep down the cost of summer holiday fun with all the places kids eat free or for £1

The summer holidays are finally here. Even if you’re not planning a break away, just keeping the kids entertained and fed can be costly. We’ve pulled together a list of all the places where children eat for free – or £1 – this summer to help make eating out and keeping the kids full more affordable.

Make sure you always check the terms and conditions of each restaurant or café before you go to avoid disappointment or unwanted cost. You can do this on their websites or check with the restaurant staff before ordering.

Here’s all the places we’ve found:

Cafes

ASDA – kids eat for £1 every day until the end of the year in all ADSA cafes. No adult spend it required.

TESCO – kids eat for free in TESCO cafes when an adult spends as little as 60P and scans their clubcard from 24th July to 1st September.

Sainsbury’s – kids eat for free at Sainsbury’s cafes with the purchase of an adult hot main meal costing £5.20 or more. The offer is live and is available each day until 3rd September. After this date, kids can eat for £1.

Morrisons – kids eat free, all day, every day when an adult buys a main meal for £4.49 or more.

The supermarket has also partnered with bakery giant Warburtons this summer to provide two free crumpets with butter and jam to anyone who ‘Asks for Ellen’ when ordering.

IKEA – kids can eat from 95p from 11am onwards in all IKEA cafes - except for the Hammersmith store.

Dunelm – kids get one mini main meal, two snacks and a free drink in Dulem Pausa Coffee shops with every £4 spent after 3pm.

Dobbie’s Garden Centres – children eat free when an adult purchases a main meal. Available every day from 12pm.

Marks & Spencer – Until 1st September in England Wales (different dates apply for Scotland and Northern Ireland), spend just £5 on an adult meal and kids can enjoy a main, snack and drink from the kids’ menu for free

Restaurants

Beefeater/Brewers Fayre – two kids under 16 can get a free breakfast every day of the summer holidays as long as they’re accompanied by one paying adult. An adult breakfast costs £9.99 and is served until 10 30am every day.

Bluegrass BBQ Smokehouses – children get a free main and dessert with every adult main until 3rd September

Brewdog – free kids’ meal when an adult meal is purchased in all UK bars and pubs until 25th August. Children must be under 13 and customers need to quote ‘KIDS EAT FREE’ when booking.

Hungry Horse – two kids can eat for £1 on Mondays with every full paying adult

Farmhouse Inn – two kids eat for free when accompanied by a paying adult Monday to Friday until 8th September.

Travelodge – two children eat breakfast for free when one adult pays for a full priced breakfast. Breakfast is served between 7am and 10am on weekdays and between 8am and 11am at weekends.

Premier Inn – Two kids eat breakfast for free when one adult buys a full breakfast. Breakfast is served every morning from 6 30am Mon-Fri and from 7am until 11am on weekends.

Preto – one child under 10 eats free with every paying adult. Valid every weekday from 4pm. Download the ‘Children Eat Free’ voucher from the website before arriving.

Sizzling Pubs – Kids eat for £1 every Mon-Fri between 3pm and 7pm when an adult purchases a main meal.

Gordon Ramsey Restaurants – kids under 8 eat free all day, every day, at selected Gordon Ramsey restaurants with every paying adult.
