Lidl launches new loyalty scheme to help shoppers save on their weekly food shop
Budget supermarket Lidl has made it even easier for regular shoppers to make savings on their food bills with the introduction of Lidl Plus Offers.
The Lidl Plus Offers will provide savings on a range of products each week, including buy-one-get-one-free (BOGOF) offers.
The scheme isn’t a replacement for the supermarket’s popular ‘Lidl Plus For You’ coupons, which provide personalised discounts for shoppers. It will instead sit alongside offering more generic savings for loyal customers.
But unlike the ‘Lidl Plus For You’ scheme where shoppers need to activate savings through their phone app, discounts will be automatically applied at checkout by scanning their loyalty card. Much like the Tesco Clubcard.
The revamp of the Lidl Plus loyalty scheme comes as the budget-friendly supermarket looks to expand its presence in the UK.
It plans to open hundreds of new stores across the country this year, including sites in:
- Bristol in the West Country
- Birmingham in the West Midlands
- Berwick in Scotland
- Wandsworth, Fulham, Hoxton, and Canning Town in London
