Make easy peanut butter cookies with just two ingredients

We all like a sweet treat every now and then, but if money is tight and you’re struggling to pay for essentials, it might not be at the top of your shopping list.

But we’re here with a solution - a great peanut recipe that needs just two ingredients.

And even better than that, they take only a few minutes to make.

What you'll need

  • 200g peanut butter
  • 100g sugar

That's it.

How to make them

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
  2. Mix the peanut butter and sugar together in a bowl until combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking tray.
  4. Gently flatten each one with a fork.
  5. Bake for eight to ten minutes until lightly golden.

Leave to cool before eating.

The cookies will firm up as they cool.

Experiment with flavour

You don't have to stick to peanut butter.

You can experiment with other spreads you might already have in the cupboard, such as chocolate spread.

In fact, this works really well, but remember that the mixture is a little softer and sweeter, so you might not need to use quite as much sugar.

Add flour for a firmer cookie

If your mixture feels too soft, stir in a few spoonfuls of plain flour.

Of course, that means it’s not a two-ingredient cookie any more, but if you want a thicker, more biscuit-like texture, it works a treat.

Save money on snacks

A packet of cookies can be expensive.

So this is a great money saver that helps you avoid impulse purchases at the supermarket and lets you use ingredients you might already have in.

For just a fraction of the cost of buying a shop-bought item, you can satisfy those cravings for something sweet in just a few minutes.
