What will you spend on Black Friday deals this year?
Black Friday is just around the corner, but many brands and retailers have started their sales a bit early.

So how much do you plan to spend and what will you be buying?
Well, according to Nationwide, the average Brit who’s got an eye on Black Friday bargains is expected to spend £123.
Young adults aged between 25 and 34 are tipped to spend the most - around £255 per person.
Many Brits don’t plan to buy anything
But we shouldn’t forget that not everyone can afford to splash out on Black Friday goodies, either for themselves or as Christmas presents.
Almost four in ten (38%) people say they don’t plan to buy anything in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.
And interestingly, Gen Z respondents who want to bag some bargains plan to spend less than the UK average - £119 per person.
“Undoubtedly, Black Friday remains a key shopping date for most consumers,” said Mark Nalder of Nationwide.
“However, cost-of-living challenges continue to eat into budgets, which explains why almost 40 per cent of consumers are planning not to buy anything altogether this year.”
What’s on people’s Black Friday wishlists this year?
Black Friday shoppers have their eyes on all sorts of items this year, from gadgets and fashion items to hobby equipment and memorabilia.
Laptops were found to be the most popular item on people’s wishlists this year, followed by:
- shoes
- TVs
- makeup
- watches
- tablets
- iPhones
- perfume
- PS5 (PlayStation 5)
- headphones
Other notable items in people’ wishlists were items like:
- Funko Pops
- vinyl record player
- gas cylinders
- F1 merchandise
- indoor herb gardens
- binoculars
- flying lessons
- ice machines
- electric bike
- massage gun
