The kids being off school is always expensive, to ease the pressure on your purse we’ve pulled together a list of all the places kids can eat free – or for £1 – this May half-term
May half term usually brings some brighter weather. And while it’s usually cheaper to keep the kids entertained in the sun – think picnics, long walks, parks, and trips to the coast – it’s still pricey to keep them well fed.
Thankfully, some of the UK’s leading restaurants and cafes are offering free – or cheap - kids' meals.
We’ve pulled together a list here of all the best offers. Just make sure you read the full terms and conditions of their websites before you go.
Cafes
ASDA – kids eat free for £1 all day, every day with no adult spend required.
IKEA – kids get a meal from 95p daily from 11am.
Morrisons – spend £4.49 and get one free kid’s meal all day, every day.
Sainsbury’s Cafes – kids eat for £1 with the purchase of an adult hot main from 11 30am every day.
Pausa Café @ Dunelm – kids get one mini main, two snacks and a drink for free with every £4 spent after 3pm.
Tesco – kids eat free with a purchase of 60p+ from 29 May to 2 June.
Dobbies Garden Centres – for every adult breakfast or lunch purchased, kids eat free. Available every day.
Subway – one free kids meal, which includes a 4 inch sub, a snack, and a drink, redeemable with the purchase of any full price Footlong Sub at participating Subway restaurants.
Restaurants
BrewDog – children dine for free when you purchase a main dish.
Beefeater & Brewers Fayre – two children under 16 get free breakfast every day with one paying adult.
Coconut Tree- one child (10 and under- eats free per paying adult. Valid from 27 May until 2 June.
The Real Greek – kids under 12 eat free every Sunday for every £10 spent by an adult.
Travelodge & Premier Inn – buy one adult breakfast from £8.99 and up to two kids eat breakfast for free.
Sizzling Pubs – every Monday-Friday between 3pm-7pm kids' main meals are £1 with every adult meal purchased.
TGI Fridays – kids eat free when ‘Stripes Rewards Members’ purchase any adult meal via the app.
Preto – Kids up to age 10 eat free all day, every day with paying adults at Preto in half term.
Yo! Sushi – from 27 May – 31 May kids eat free with every £10 spent by an accompanying adult.
Angus Streakhouses – kids under 10 eat free with a full-paying adult buying a main course.
Gordon Ramsey Restaurants – kids under 8 eat free all day, every day at selected Gordon Ramsay restaurants.
Bella Italia – children eat for £1 with any adult main - the offer is valid 4-6pm Monday to Thursday.
Whitbread Inns – two kids under 16 can eat for free with every adult breakfast purchased.
Table Table – two children under 16 get breakfast for free every day with one paying adult.
Las Iguanas – download the My Iguanas app and receive free kids’ meals for children up to 12 years old. One free meal can be claimed with every adult ordering a main course.
Franco Manca – children under 12 get complimentary kids pizza with every full-priced adult min meal at specified Franco Manca pizzerias.
Hungry Horse – kids eat for £1 on Mondays during the May half-term holidays.
Future Inns – under 5’s eat for free with any adult meal.
Purezza – kids under 10 get a free mini pizza with any full-paying adult.
Café Rouge – children up to 12 years old can enjoy two or three lunch or dinner courses from the kid’s menu for free with the purchase of any adult main meal. Offer available from 27 May until 31 May.
