From free safari park entry to wildlife centre visits and immersive exhibitions, attractions are marking the milestone with special offers inspired by the much-loved presenter.

Some deals could save families more than £50, making them a great option for anyone looking for a low-cost day out.

Free entry to Scottish Wildlife Trust visitor centres

The Scottish Wildlife Trust is offering free entry to selected visitor centres to celebrate Sir David’s birthday.

Visitors will be able to explore nature reserves, enjoy wildlife spotting and take part in family-friendly activities without paying the usual admission fees.

Participating sites include:

  • Falls of Clyde Visitor Centre
  • Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Reserve
  • Montrose Basin Visitor Centre

The trust says the event is designed to encourage more people to connect with nature, something Sir David has spent decades inspiring people to do.

Anyone called David can visit Knowsley Safari for free

Knowsley Safari is giving free entry to anyone named David as part of the celebrations.

Visitors simply need to bring photo ID showing their name to claim the offer.

Depending on the date of the visit, the deal could save adults up to £25 each.

Families visiting the safari park can see lions, rhinos, baboons and sea lions, alongside the attraction’s five-mile safari drive.

The park says the giveaway is a tribute to Sir David’s contribution to wildlife education and conservation.

Dudley Zoo offering £1 tickets for visitors named David

Dudley Zoo and Castle is also joining the celebrations with discounted entry for visitors called David.

Instead of paying full admission prices, eligible visitors will be able to get tickets for just £1 - saving up to £14.

The zoo said the campaign is a way of thanking Sir David for inspiring generations to care about wildlife and conservation.

Visitors can explore hundreds of animals including giraffes, penguins, tigers and orangutans.

The attraction is also expected to run themed talks and conservation activities during the celebration period.

Free immersive David Attenborough exhibition coming to London

A popular immersive Our Story with David Attenborough exhibition is also being turned into a free public attraction to celebrate the broadcaster’s landmark birthday.

The experience uses large-scale projections and soundscapes to showcase the beauty of the natural world and the environmental challenges facing the planet.

It had previously been a paid attraction, but organisers confirmed entry will now be free for a limited time.

The exhibition is expected to attract large crowds when it opens.
