Lounges has teamed up with Kellogg's to launch Little Loungers Breakfast Club, giving children a free breakfast at more than 200 cafés across England and Wales until schools return in September.

The initiative comes as many families lose access to school breakfast clubs during the holidays, often meaning higher food bills for parents.

What's included?

Children can enjoy a free breakfast of:

  • Corn Flakes
  • Rice Krispies
  • Bran Flakes

Each breakfast comes with dairy or non-dairy milk, and there's no voucher, booking or purchase required. Families can simply visit a participating Lounge, with one free breakfast available per child, per day.

Why it matters

School holidays can put extra pressure on household budgets, especially when children are eating every meal at home.

Research commissioned by Kellogg's found that almost one in five parents (19%) expect their food bills to increase when school breakfast clubs close for the holidays. Another 17% worry their child could miss breakfast over the summer.

While it won't solve the wider cost of the six-week break, free offers like this can help families save a little money while making sure children start the day with breakfast.

It's more than just free cereal

The Little Loungers Breakfast Club is designed to give families a welcoming place to start the day during the school holidays.

Alongside the free breakfast, many Lounges also have books, games and activities for children, making it somewhere families can spend time together without feeling pressure to buy lots of extras.

How to claim

The offer runs until schools return in September at participating Lounges across England and Wales.

Not every Lounge is taking part, so it's worth checking before you travel.
