Five quick winter visibility tips
Plan ahead with a windscreen cover
Save time in the morning by fitting a windscreen cover the night before.
Leave plenty of time
Allow around 10 minutes to clear your windscreen properly. Remember to de-ice side windows, mirrors and lights too.
Start the heater cold
To reduce misting inside the car, turn the heater on cold first, then slowly increase the temperature as the air dries.
Avoid using hot water
Pouring hot water on a frozen windscreen can crack the glass and lead to an expensive repair.
Don’t drive until visibility is clear
Only set off once your windscreen, rear window, side windows, and mirrors are completely free from ice, snow, and condensation.
