If you’re nearing the end of a 10-year award, you might get a letter from DWP saying you won’t need to attend a face-to-face assessment.

A ‘light touch’

This new approach, dubbed a ‘light touch’ review, means that in most cases, you’ll only need to fill out a review form instead of facing the usual assessment.

DWP has put together a sample ‘PIP AR2’ form, which is available on GOV.UK to help you get ready.

It’s just six pages long and covers essential areas of your life.

What’s on the form?

The form asks about:

  • your identity and contact details
  • your immigration status
  • your main healthcare professional
  • changes to your health condition since your last award
  • changes to your daily living and mobility needs
  • your consent for DWP to collect further information
