I'll get the negative part out the way 1st, because the positives outweigh the negative. The only part of the process I was frustrated with, despite being referred by Step change after over an hour assessment, I had to go through 3 further telephone appointments with Money wellness because they'd accidentally sent my file for review twice which triggered seperate calls, and receiving too many emails and text messages which became confusing. I was later apologised to, as there been an internal handling error. Now, the positives, the team handled my case with respect and dignity. So much so, the main adviser told me I wasn't giving myself and wife enough money to live on having been too used to going without, so allowed extra for groceries, clothing and social. I found this to be particularly surprising, speaking to someone that was looking at actually assisting me as opposed to focusing on the bank or debt biased. Once the intermediary finalised everything, I received the DRO in less than 3 days! Overall, I'd definitely recommend Money Wellness for anyone struggling with debt.
